Lauryn Hill Gives Birth To Her 6th Child...

Hip-Hop singer, Lauryn Hill has given birth to her sixth child, a baby that arrived on Saturday (July 23). The 36-year-old performer announced the pregnancy to much fanfare. The eccentric performer revealed her pregnancy in a concert. “I keep having these children. I don’t know if I’m the most fertile woman in America,” she said at a show in Los Angeles earlier this year. It remains unclear if Rohan Marley, the father of her five other kids, is the child of the newborn.

Hill is still slated to appear as a highlight of the Rock the Bells Festival next month.

WATCH: Mariah Carey is So Extra on HSN.

Mariah Carey is so over the top in these clips and surprisingly, I don't have a problem with it. And let me tell you, I usually *can't* with people being soooo... whatever this is. I couldn't tell you why it's not rubbing me the wrong way, but it's really not. Maybe because it's Monday?
IDK... carry on.

Sad. No matter the circumstances, a family is left to deal with the loss of a loved one.
I pray for their strength.

Live Fashion Art at the Emilio Pucci Party...

Japanese self taught artist Takeshi Ohgushi, born 1977, made lots of magazine editorials, covers and advertising illustrations and collaborated with fashion houses. His works are considered contemporary BIJINGA (which means “pictures of beautiful women”) and are made very quickly. He paints in rolls and sweeps of sumi ink on traditional Japanese paper. My Transition From Relaxed to Natural (Part 1)

I've been "officially" transitioning from relaxed to natural hair since February 2011 when I finally decided I wouldn't get another relaxer. My last relaxer was October 1, 2010, one day before my cousin Brenda's beautiful New Orleans wedding. Dealing with my hair was a bit of a struggle at first, but once I discovered all the natural hair phenoms on Youtube, I was good to go with everything I was learning. I'm excited about my curly hair! Mostly because I didn't realize that I even had curly hair. I really didn't. Anyhoo, in my haste to get my vid uploaded to Youtube, I failed to do a spellcheck and I misspelled "transition" at the end, but you'll look past that won't you? And let me know what you think :)

Models 35 and Older Working It Out Honey.

Iman (55 years old) covers Ladybrille (March 2011)

The modeling industry has a seemingly never-ending supply of under-20 supermodels in the making but amid all of this underage madness, there still exist models at or over the age of 35 (more than twice as old as newcomers Nyasha Matonhodze and Nine d'Urso) who not only still get work, but look awesome doing it.

These models haven't let the number of years they've been on this planet prevent them from scoring coveted ad campaigns or covering high fashion glossies. Lauren Hutton bagged the latest Alexis Bittar campaign at the ripe age of 67, while Kristen McMenamy's flowing gray locks and bikini-clad body graced the cover of a recent Vogue Italia issue.

This group of stunning women prove that, believe it or not, it is possible to look beautiful and model clothing without being a schoolgirl. Click HERE to see more.

"Transformers 3" is 2011's Top Domestic Hit...

"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" now rules this year's box office as the blockbuster sequel became 2011's top domestic hit with $261 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. Paramount Pictures' sci-fi smash starring Shia LaBeouf remained No. 1 in its second weekend with $47 million and shot past "The Hangover Part II" to first-place on the domestic chart.

"Horrible Bosses" came in at the number 2 spot. Horrible Bosses was trending on Twitter earlier tonight. Sounds like it might be kinda funny.

My Journey To See New Edition at Essence Music Fest 2011..

If you graduated high school in the 80's make some noise! lol.

That's how they introduced New Edition. The 80's class and beyond was representing DEEP on the last night of the Essence Music Festival (class of '89 right here!) and I felt like I was amongst my peers, you know, people who know the words to New Edition's throwback jam "Is This The End" and Doug E. Fresh's "The Show" I just thought the whole throwback vibe of the night was lovely.

New Edition opened the show with "If It Isn't Love"

I haven't been to an Essence Music Festival in New Orleans since Luther Vandross closed out one of the  nights, and Luther passed in 2005, so it had to be before then. And to be honest, we weren't going this year either until I found out completely by accident that New Edition was reuniting at this year's Essence (!?!?!) How in the freakin' world did I miss that???

Rewind to Saturday, July 2, 2011, Day 2 of Essence Fest and picture us scrambling for tickets AND a hotel room at the 11th hour just so I wouldn't miss New Edition on Saturday Day 2 of Essence. Then fast forward to us scoring tickets to Saturday Day 2 of Essence! Woo! Only problem was New Edition wasn't performing until Sunday DAY 3 of Essence. You have got to be kidding me. smh :( Leave it to me to mix up the dates. But my husband wanted to see Kanye, and I enjoyed Chaka Khan and Jill Scott (Day 2) so those tickets still worked out.

*Slideshow*

So now we're scrambling for a second night at our hotel in a city that is already booked solid for this huge annual music fest. AND on top of that, we still needed tickets for Day 3. Well long story short, and a happy ending, we scored Day 3 Essence Fest tickets on Day 2 before we even set foot in the Superdome. Floor seats! For NEW EDITION! WINNING!!! Overall we enjoyed our first year back at Essence since I don't know when. So much so, that I'll be paying closer attention to next year, and the year after that. Trust

"Can You Stand the Rain" and "When Will I See You Smile Again" (below) went hard when they did it at Essence. And I know you can hardly tell, but I really heart me some New Edition
For real :)
