Hip Look of the Day: Halle Berry Shops with Nahla...

Halle Berry shopped at a West Hollywood CB2 store on Sunday alongside her mini me – daughter Nahla who is 2 now. I'm loving Halle's casual chic dress, anyone have any idea who it is? Anyhoo, well played Ms. Berry. Well played.

Naeem Khan Spring 2011...

Style.com reviewed Naeem Khan's Spring 2011 collection and they thought that it was very reminiscent of Roberto Cavalli. And I could see that, especially in the pic above. But they also thought that there "were hardly any dresses that screamed Michelle [Obama]" and I have to disagree there (Michelle O wore Naeem Khan to the first state dinner). The first dress that hit the runway, a bright yellow frock with black beading (at the :30 mark), I could totally see Michelle Obama wearing along with another gold embellished sheath dress that another model wore with a tangerine statement necklace (at the 1:05 mark). I thought both of those dresses fit her style. Anyhoo, check it for yourself below to see more from Naeem Khan's Spring 2011 presentation.

Xerox Prints at Isaac Mizrahi Spring 2011...

I thought those were prints at Isaac's show, but I couldn't be sure. Wow. So creative.

via WWD: Isaac Mizrahi's spring collection was called IM Xerox and opened with a series of simple whites printed with tromp l’oeil pockets, buttons and lapels, as if they had been produced at Kinko’s. It was his amusing take on 3-D in 2-D, which continued on dresses, long and short, in black-and-white floral grid prints followed by the vivid, full-color versions. Mizrahi is a master of the witty design gag and makes it work by grounding the clothes in classic uptown whimsy, here in a glamorous throwback. Click HERE to see pics and watch below to see more from Isaac Mizrahi's Spring 2011 collection:

Proenza Schouler Spring 2011 [FULL VIDEO]...

Proenza Schouler designers via Style.com:
"We wanted it to be a little more polished," Jack McCollough said backstage, before Lazaro Hernandez jumped in: "So we took all these feminine codes—the embroideries, the flowers—and mixed them up in our own way. We wanted to do something without any obvious references." By the end, the models weren't ladies anymore. With their loose tank dresses made from guipure lace in hot, sulfur colors and flat sandal-boot hybrids, they were simply cool Proenza Schouler girls. Check out the video below of Proenza Schouler Spring 2011 in its entirety.

The American Prairie at Anna Sui Spring 2011 [FULL VIDEO]

I love when designers have a theme to their shows and you can clearly see it. That was definitely the case at Anna Sui's Spring 2011 showing. Her theme was "The American Prairie" and that inspiration was visible in just about all of her pieces. Some of it had a 60's flower child type feel and I don't know if you can get any more American Prairie than that. Check out Anna Sui's show below in it's entirety.

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2011 [FULL SHOW VIDEO]...

Those are two of my favorite looks from Phillip Lim's Spring 2011 collection. Loved these as soon as I spotted them on the live stream strutting down his runway. Well I'm not gonna say much here about the showing because I found his complete runway show taped in its entirety on Youtube (woohoo!) so I'll let you watch and judge for yourselves. Check it below:

Garden Party Chic at Michael Kors Spring 2011...

We dubbed the dress above "the salad dress" when we saw it come down the runway for obvious reasons. That being said, I always like what Michael Kors presents (I'm a fangirl) and his Spring 2011 collection was certainly no different. He usually does a very luxe "we're on a fabulous vacation" in the Maldives/Safaris of Africa/South of France (pick one) but this time, Michael kept it closer to home as in right in the backyard. And again, I loved it. It was casual, but still very glam yard party fashion. Check out the video below to see more from Michael Kors Spring 2011 line:

Clean & Simple at Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2011...

via WWD: The first model out at Narciso Rodriguez, wearing a bias-cut linen canvas sheath, laid out his spring premise quite clearly: long, lean silhouettes and a spotlight on feminine tailoring. Check out the video below for more from another Michelle Obama fave Narciso Rodriguez's Spring 2011 show.

Badgley Mischka Spring 2011...

The Badgley Mischka duo is widely known for their fabulous red carpet fashion, but I quite enjoyed the dressed down casual chic looks and cocktail length dresses at their Spring 2011 showing. And of course these more casual looks had the same Badgley Mischka polish. The dress above was my absolute favorite of this collection hands down. It had an easy drape, with a ruffled racer back. This dress was just me all day. Love. Check out video from Badgley Mischka's Spring 2011 collection below:

Never a Dull Moment: Marc Jacobs Spring 2011...

Such interesting pieces at Marc Jacobs Spring 2011. He gave you plenty to look at...
Via Fashionolgie:
The show was pure '70s, recalling Bianca Jagger and Jodie Foster from Taxi Driver — all wide-legged trousers, frizzy hair, with oversized flower corsages and gold glitter platforms.
Check out video below from Marc Jacobs Spring 2011:

Donna Karan Spring 2011...

Hilary Alexander from the UK Telegraph described Donna Karan Spring 2011 best I think:

Donna Karan explores the sands of time in a de-luxe arts-and-crafts adventure.

Donna Karan has absolutely nailed the concept of the Earth Mother figure with a Platinum AmEx card; the urban nomad with no limits on her spending. Her spring/summer 2011 collection was haute organic-chic in every shade under the desert sun from palest sand to burnished wood, but crafted from the most extraordinary, technical fabrics.

Spot on. Click HERE to see more pics from Donna Karan's Spring 2011 collection.

Cotton Candy Fun at Betsey Johnson Spring 2011...

If Carolina Herrera is uptown chic, then Betsey Johnson is the Queen Ruler of the fun downtown girl. Betsey showed everything from frothy pink party dresses, to sailor suits to short rompers and swimwear. She had a bicycle theme (check the "Ride Me" neckwear) and she even hand painted a few of her gowns for the show. It was an explosion of color. You can always count on Betsey to show you a fun time. Check out more of her Spring 2011 in the video below:

Chic 70s Weekend at Tracy Reese Spring 2011...

Tracy Reese never fails to show fun clothes that you wanna wear. And her Spring 2011 show was no different. This collection had a distinct throwback 60s/70s feel, like her girl was on a fabulous beach vacation circa 1969/1970. Can you dig it? lol. Ok, you know what? My apologies for that extra corny joke. Just couldn't help myself right there. Anyhoo, check out the video below to see more from Tracy Reese's Spring 2011 collection.

Sparkle Done Right at Jenny Packham Spring 2011...

I have to admit, Jenny Packham wasn't really on my radar until I was wowed by her Spring 2011 collection. She did a show full of shine and sparkle with some beautifully draped frocks thrown in for good measure. Fabulous red carpet looks and cocktail dresses. Check out the video below for more from Jenny Packham's Spring 2011 collection.

Spring Sophistication at Carolina Herrera Spring 2011...

Carolina Herrera's Spring 2011 showing was everything that's elegant, high brow chic. Her show was all that you already know her to be. But what stood out to me were the beautiful [painted on? printed?] spring florals that were a common theme on many of her pieces. She had them on pant legs, skirts and dresses and I just thought it was fresh touch for a spring line. Check out the video below for a quick look at her Spring 2011 collection.

Flirty Looks and Top Knots at Rebecca Taylor Spring 2011...

Check out the video below to see a glimpse of Rebecca Taylor's Spring 2011 collection. Jezebel called her show "sunny 70's romance" and I totally agree with that description. I especially liked her flirty ruffle top dresses. Cute. But those top knots. Now those are gonna take a little more effort to look chic on the average girl.

Cool Denim & Crisp Looks at Derek Lam Spring 2011...

Derek Lam had smart denims and breezy, clean spring looks during his Spring 2011 showcase. And I loved the easy, no-fuss hair. The four looks above were a handful of his pieces that I liked. He had an entire show of completely wearable pieces which I thought was just fabulous. Check out a short video from his Spring 2011 show below:

Academy of Art University Spring 2011 [VIDEO]

Academy of Art University had their showing on Friday September 10th, and I have to say, I have a strong affinity for fashion students because I used to be one. Seven Academy of Art University designers showed, and there were very creative offerings from all of them, but my personal fave had to be designer April Howard. I fell in very deep *like* with her black one-shouldered jumpsuit. Watch below for a glimpse into Academy of Art's Spring 2011 showcase.

Chic & Pretty at Prabal Gurung Spring 2011...

Another Michelle Obama favorite, I only learned about Prabal Gurung as a designer last year. I was even inspired to sew one of his dresses from his Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection. I think this guy is an awesome talent. Check out his Spring 2011 runway show below:

Hip Look of the Day: America Ferrera in France...

I don't know if America (wearing Catherine Malandrino) has a stylist or if she styles herself, but whoever gets the credit, this person is doing a consistently chic job. She always looks super polished and fabulous, and I'm hard pressed to think of a time when I've seen her out looking a hot mess. Well played Ms. Ferrera. Consistently well played.

Fabulous Short Suits at Jason Wu Spring 2011...

I'm all about a short suit for spring. And Jason Wu worked his magic on a half dozen different versions for his Spring 2011 showing. His short suits were chic, clean and polished and I wanted ALL OF THEM. Click HERE to see more from Jason Wu's Spring 2011 collection.

NYFW Christian Siriano Spring 2011: My Fave Look.

This asymmetrical maxi dress from Christian Siriano's Spring 2011 collection was lovely. Fell in love with it the instant I saw it. This picture really doesn't do it justice. But click HERE if you want to see more from Christian Siriano's Spring 2011 show.

Easy and Breezy at NYFW BCBG Spring 2011...

BCBG's Spring 2011 show was like a breath of fresh air. The clothes were wonderfully light and airy as they breezed ever so effortlessly down the runway. The nude jumpsuit was one of my favorite pieces from this collection. Click HERE to see more from BCBG's Spring 2011 collection.

Fashionable Shoes Spotted at NY Fashion Spring 2011...

Refinery 29 spotted some wild shoes at Fashion Week in New York during the first few days of the Spring 2011 shows. Brave. I've done Fashion Week in New York and I tried heels the first day, but that was IT. I did flat shoes the rest of the week. Click HERE to take a peek of some of the madness.

A Few Looks From Vena Cava Spring 2011...

The Vena Cava girls took a tour through the '80s with their Spring 2011 runway show. Designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai (above) showed their collection on Thursday September 9th, and said they were inspired by Memphis, an Italian design movement dating back to the 1980s known for bold colours and geometric shapes. I didn't really see a lot of geometric shapes in this collection, but yeah, alright. I just thought the collection was simple and wearable with a bit of a retro vibe in some pieces.

New York Kicks Off Fashion Week Sept. 9-16

New York City always kicks off fashion season with their week of shows, then its in London, Milan and then Paris rounds out the major shows in the major cities. There's a lot going on this week, so stay tuned!

Is Lauren Conrad Returning to TV?

Insiders say yes, and the networks are fighting over her new unconfirmed reality show according to US Weekly.

Get ready for LC's small-screen comeback! Although Lauren Conrad left MTV's The Hills back in 2009 and has since become a bestselling author and successful fashion designer, the 24-year-old isn't done with TV.

An insider says in the new Us Weekly, out now, that Conrad is getting her very own reality show -- and that the networks have been fighting over it.

In an exclusive interview with Us, Conrad (who wouldn't confirm the new series) says her third go-round would be miles away from the drama and back-stabbing of Laguna Beach and The Hills. "The only way I'd return to reality TV would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop," she tells Us.

Style Verdict: The Pantsless Trend.

Yeah, I think we can blame Lady Gaga for making this latest trend popular in 2010. Of course she didn't do it first, but she was photographed A LOT this year wearing this look which is why we're starting to see it trickle down. But where exactly could you where this "no pants" style? Honestly speaking, if I were going out for a night of fun times with a group of friends in Vegas, I might go for it. Here at home? I live in a very red state. So yeah. I don't think so.  But I'm not totally against this look. It just has to be the right occasion. And a different city. But enough about what I think, I wanna know what YOU think about this trend. Do you like it? Hate it? Don't care? Would YOU rock it?
I wanna know your style verdict.

It's a bit of a departure from her usual boho-chic, but I think she looks fabulous on this cover. Click HERE to read more on how she's not blaming anyone but herself for her past bad behavior and how she wants to set a good example for her children.
