Even after watching Kelly try and explain herself in the video above, I'm still not understanding her. There's not much coherence in what she's saying. IDK. I said on Twitter last week that I thought she needed help, and seeing this video is not making me change my mind.
On Thursday's The Real Housewives of New York City, Kelly Bensimon attempts to explain her infamous May 20 show meltdown -- but only leaves her pals even more confused. Sitting with Jill Zarin, LuAnn de Lesseps and Jennifer Gilbert, Bensimon, 42, says she lashed out at costars Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, Sonja Morgan and foe Bethenny Frankel during a trip to the Virgin Islands because they were gossiping too much. "From the minute we were together, it was everything that I hate – talking badly about people," she begins.
(Oddly, she then starts gossiping about Frankel, 39: "She’s, like, a cook and everything like that, and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I mean, not one person that I know has ever hired her as a cook.'")
Bensimon says she was "so over tired" and "feeling sick" when she snapped (among her quips: She called Frankel a "ho bag"). "I was drinking this wine – I never drink wine – and I was sitting in this room with these women. I just wanted to get out of there," she says. "... It was an out-of-body experience."
In the end, the ladies still had no clarity about what actually went down. Says de Lesseps, 45: "By the end of Kelly’s story about the trip, I was so confused. I mean, I just didn’t get it. I had to hear the other side of the story."

Since her marriage crisis began Sandra Bullock has remained in seclusion while raising her new son, Louis. That will all change next month.
On Wednesday she was named the recipient of the MTV Generation Award "for her riveting and diverse contributions to the film industry," and her rep confirms, "she will be attending" the June 6 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, Calif., though she won't be doing any interviews at the ceremony.
Bullock, 45, joins Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Spike Lee, Mike Myers and Adam Sandler, who've also been honored with the award.
Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Fields explains some of the more fabulous and iconic looks from the movie. She explains the looks above below:
"It was a concern of Sarah Jessica’s that Carrie’s not a kid anymore, and so maybe we should change her style, but I said, 'No, she's not a kid, but she's still Carrie! She doesn't all of a sudden have a lobotomy and become like Charlotte, or become a designer-driven dresser.' In this shot, Carrie has a potpourri on." (This is the $50,000 outfit.) "That’s a Chanel skirt over a pair of jeans by the Blonds, the same design team that made Samantha’s dress. They have all these cuts and slits in them, behind which are Swarovskis and studs. And it’s just a simple blouse she’s wearing, I think it's vintage, which is classic Carrie. Charlotte’s wearing a vintage YSL that I found at a vintage dealer in New York. Here, Miranda's wearing an old Halston, which I used a lot of in the movie. It’s green, one of those colors that not many women can wear, but that looks great on her. I’m not sure what’s going on with her hair, though. I don’t like it curled up that way. Hair-makeup and wardrobe are two different departments. I love Samantha’s dress! It’s from a design team that I have a personal relationship with called the Blonds. They're both men, but one dresses like a woman, and they're like a couple. And Phillipe Blond was wearing this red dress at some event we were both at, and I said to him, 'Phillipe we have to have that dress for the movie!' ... You know how people talk about how Samantha is just like a drag queen? This was my little double entendre about that." Click to see a slideshow and more commentary on some of the fashion from SATC2.

The official press conference isn’t until, but we’re ready to call this one like FOX News. Hip-hop enigma Lauryn Hill will be headlining this year’s Rock The Bells tour. The ex-Fugees songstress will be performing her classic solo album, The Miseduction of Lauryn Hill, as part of a complete album format that has become an increasingly popular way for legendary acts to draw attention to current tours. Also rumored to be performing a full-length at RTB2010 is A Tribe Called Quest. Perhaps they’ll join Ms. Hill in a rendition of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly,” The Fugees’ most infamous hit, which sampled ATCQ’s “Bonita Applebum.” URB spoke to representative of Rock The Bells who would not confirm…or deny the booking.
Well there you have it. Wouldn't that be the hotness if this actually happens? Even hotter? Me being in town with a ticket and good seats to this thing ;)

Venus Williams returned the ball to Switzerland's Patty Schnyder during their first round match of the French Open tennis tournament at the Roland Garros stadium in Paris, Sunday, May 23, 2010. But that wasn't the big deal. The big deal was what Venus was wearing. When Venus Williams served Sunday in the first round of the French Open, photographers were down on the ground, getting as low as possible to get pictures up her dress.

What does it say about women's tennis, always dangerously balancing the sale of sex and sport, when photographers are shooting Venus' serve from the bottom up instead of the top down? "The outfit is about illusion,'' Williams said. "And that's been a lot of my motif this year.'' Click READ MORE HERE below to see what all the fuss was about.

You know, that Tyra Banks is turning out to be one smart business woman. I think a lot of people may have underestimated her business savvy. She is continually making moves to build and expand her media empire and her brand. Tyra has recently re-signed with her old modeling agency IMG Models, so if you start seeing her on more magazine covers, this is why.
And Ariel Meredith (who is she? See her here in SI, and here walking for LV Fall 2010) was just signed to IMG as well. She's a pretty girl with southern roots (born right here in my home state, Louisiana!) Congrats to both of them.

I've watched the piece below with Robbie Myers from Elle Magazine, and I don't know. Something kept rubbing me wrong about the way she was phrasing things (Model Elle MacPherson is not skinny? Really?). But that could just be me. Anyhoo, the trend towards curvy chicas has left the train station and is headed down the track full force! Don't believe me? See here, here, here, and here.
Ujena Sangria Dress in White
I think white is perfect for summer. It's clean, cool and crisp and really, you can wear it year round (so don't believe all the silly hype about the "no white after Labor Day "rule" because really. Says who? psh.) Anyhoo, just remember to wear the proper undergarments under your white ensembles. Nude colors that match your skin tone is always the way to go underneath white.

“That skirt was actually a slip under a gown. It was so pretty! I was like, 'Let me make this a skirt and put it with a T-shirt,'” Field said of the purple skirt and J’adore Dior T-shirt that Carrie wore in the sequel. “It had that same quirkiness as that short tutu from the series’ intro scene.”

Ruby red lips may have been a recent runway trend, but for some females around the world the scarlet hue is anything but beauty fun. "For girls in prostitution and sex trafficking, they're forced to put on red lipstick," co-host of the evening Selita Ebanks explained. Selita was on hand to celebrate a new series of 60 portraits inspired by the work of the Somaly Mam foundation –whose goals are to fight sex-trafficking in Cambodia and beyond. Along with the model, Susan Sarandon, Noot Sear, Brooklyn Decker and Dita Von Teese were among the high-profile subjects who sported red lips for the series aptly titled The Lipstick Portraits. Artists Mos Def and Lenny Kravitz will perform at an upcoming Gulf Coast oil spill benefit concert in New Orleans on behalf of fishers and wetlands restoration efforts.
As oil spreads around the Gulf of Mexico like a black plague unleashed from BP's Deepwater Horizon rig explosion, it's become apparent that this will ultimately affect the lives of fish and wildlife, but also the livelihoods of fishers and hunters who worked and lived off of those waters. So concert promoters have wasted no time organizing a benefit concert to raise money for fishers and wetland restoration.
Mos Def, who's no stranger to New Orleans, is one of the headline acts, along with Lenny Kravitz. After Hurricane Katrina, the MC wrote "Katrina Clap (Dollar Day)" -- a makeover of Juvenile and the UTP Playas' "Nolia Clap" -- to expose governmental neglect in New Orleans. In 2006, Mos was arrested for disorderly conduct outside of the MTV Video Music Awards while performing the song. Kravitz has claimed part-time residency in New Orleans for years and performed at last year's Voodoo Experience fest, the producers for which are also producing the upcoming Gulf Coast benefit.
The benefit concert will be held on May 16 at New Orleans' Mardi Gras World River City.

via NYMag: The main reason guests went to the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute ball last night was not to see and be seen and find out if they were important or intimidating enough to escape with a train unscathed. They went to see the Costume Institute's new exhibit on American fashion from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The pieces now on display at the Met were pulled from the Brooklyn Museum's collection; each museum is running an exhibit simultaneously. New York fashion director Harriet Mays Powell stopped by both museums for a preview. Check out some of the dresses in the video.

Thinking back to my own design school days, I don't think I did all that great in my draping class either. But it's definitely something I want to master. Stories like this just make me love her that much more. Donna Karan talked to CBS Sunday Morning last weekend about her rise to designing fame. She admitted that she wasn't an exemplary student at Parsons:
At time of posting, this Donna Karan dress was sold out.
"They never thought I would make it as a designer," she said. "I failed draping!"
Get this dress
She talked about creating her famous "seven easy pieces." "I needed a wardrobe, a real clear defined wardrobe that would take me from day into evening," Karan explained. "You know, I start with a body suit, wrap a skirt around, which you know is the kind of thing that I would wear, a scarf or a sarong. Add a tailored jacket and a scarf and you go."
