So Fresh, So Clean, So Young! A 2nd Grader's Style Swagger..

When you’re the son of Matt Weiner, creator of the impeccably styled TV series "Mad Men", you’ve got serious sartorial standards to live up to. Arlo Weiner has been creating his own style since the age of three—when he asked his parents for a top hat. Soon he’d moved on to striped bow ties, crushed velvet jackets, madras pants, and ascots (yeah, he knows what an ascot is).

Arlo Weiner has become one of the sharpest, most original dressers this side of second grade. (Arlo on Dad’s show: “That’s where I’ve gotten a lot of my inspiration.”) His look is part Oliver Twist, part Royal Tenenbaums—eclectic and kidlike, but somehow knowingly so. (His favorite item right now: a fez. “I like to flick the string,” he says.) Even in L.A., a city where half the populace dresses to be noticed, Arlo stands out. A favorite story in the Weiner family is the time perma-cool rocker Beck followed Arlo down the street, so taken was he by the kid’s head-to-toe plaid.

Arlo, who plans to start designing his own clothes as soon as his mom gets a sewing machine, likes to mix and match bright colors and patterns. In fact, he’s up for trying just about anything—except sneakers and jeans. “They’re really not my thing,” he confesses.

Oprah Makes TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2009

It's no surprise that Oprah made this years list (who has appeared on this list EVERY YEAR since this list began), it's no surprise that President Obama made the list, and it's also no surprise that First Lady Michelle O. made this list as well. There are, however a few surprises on this years list... A short excerpt from Oprah's TIME Magazine bio (by Diane Sawyer) below:

This month Oprah, 55, will broadcast her 4,270th hour of national television, a conversation with America that began in 1986. Her curiosity is undiminished. So is her passion for healing the bruised parts of the world and wielding truth against the bruisers.

Jamie Foxx's "The Soloist" Opens Today...

I wasn't that geeked to see this movie when I first saw the previews because it looked super sad to me, but learning more about the true story of Nathaniel Ayers who Jamie portrays in the movie made me more curious, intrigued and interested to find out more about this talented person. Gene Shalit's review of the movie below:

"Project Runway" Returns to the TeeVee on August 20th..

via HuffPo

"Project Runway" finally has a date to reunite with fans after sewing up its legal battle: The show's sixth season will start August 20, 2009.

Lifetime, the new cable TV home for the designer-competition series, announced the season premiere along with a new companion series, "Models of the Runway." "Project Runway," hosted by model Heidi Klum and once part of the Bravo channel lineup, had been trapped in lawsuit limbo. It was the subject of a dispute involving NBC Universal, which owns Bravo, the Weinstein Co. and the Lifetime channel.

The dispute began last April when NBC Universal sued Weinstein after the production company made a reported $150 million deal with Lifetime for "Runway." In a settlement announced earlier this month, NBC Universal said it would be paid by Weinstein for the right to move it to Lifetime.

Lifetime says "Models of the Runway," which looks at the reality competition from the models' viewpoint, will follow "Project Runway."

Congratulations Jill! It's a Baby Boy for Jill Scott...

via People

R&B singer and actress Jill Scott and her fiancé, drummer Lil John Roberts, have welcomed their first child, a boy, her manager confirms to PEOPLE. Jett Hamilton Roberts was born at 4:20 p.m. on April 20. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.

Scott, who stars on HBO's new series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, based on the popular novels by Alexander McCall Smith, discovered she was pregnant shortly before leaving for Botswana to film the show.

"At one point I was trying to gain weight for the role, and I noticed I had put on 7 lbs. in 7 days. And I thought, my god! What's going on here," she tells PEOPLE. "I thought something was wrong with me, and I found out I was pregnant the day I was supposed to leave for Africa."

She first revealed her pregnancy to reporters at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles in January. "The first trimester I spent in Botswana," said Scott, 37, a three-time Grammy Award winner. "That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days."

But Scott continued filming through her pregnancy: "My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it." The new parents, who reportedly began dating in 2007, announced their engagement at a concert in New York City on June 20.

"I definitely had issues over the course of my life, reproduction issues," she explains to PEOPLE. "I was married for five years and could never conceive a child. Until now ... It's the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me."

The Answer To This Look is NO.

No to your orange hued skin and no to your breasts looking like they're trying to quit you and that dress.
Not hot.

Rachel Roy Coming to Macy's Fall 2009...

Dame Dash's soon to be ex-wife, designer Rachel Roy is coming out with a new line at Macy's for Fall 2009 called Rachel | Rachel Roy. I'm guessing that it's supposed to be "Rachel" by Rachel Roy? IDK, but I did spot a couple cute pieces that I wouldn't mind having in this video. Check it..

Kim Kardashian is a Size 2? Okaaay...

Kim Kardashian got upset recently when US Weekly Magazine implied that she was "plus-sized" in a story promoting Forever 21's new plus-sized line, Faith 21. US Weekly said that Kim was a "fan" of the line (which is a cute line that's set for release on May 1st). She shot back at US Weekly saying "for the record, I'm a size 2, not a 2XL.." Well, she said some other stuff too, but that's what stood out to me. Her diamond quote is below:

"I feel that this clipping from Us Magazine is a bit misleading, so I wanted to comment on it. I am a huge fan of Forever 21 and I'm very happy they have expanded their line to include a plus-size range, but I am not in that size category and this article makes it sound like I am! I am a curvy girl and I love my curves, but curvy and plus-sized are two very different things. I work really hard to maintain my curves while staying slim and healthy, so to be classed as a "fuller-figured woman" of extra large proportions is a little offensive. For the record, I am a size 2, not 2XL."

A recent pic of Kim (above) taken on Sunday April 19, 2009 in Mexico while vacationing with her family. Another even more recent pic of getting a mani-pedi in L.A. on 4/20/09  can be seen here.

Brian Fellow's Safari Planet...

My friends and I got a huge case of the giggles a couple days ago while exchanging wall messages on Facebook, when whatever we were talking about somehow shifted to SNL skits. The skit below wasn't the actual skit we were laughing at (this one is), but this Tracy Morgan one came up in the same conversation and its just as silly.. it's good for a chuckle so enjoy..

Designer Shoes by Christian Siriano Coming to Payless This Fall..

Christian Siriano from "Project Runway" is releasing a line of designer shoes at Payless for Fall 2009. His platform sandals will retail for under $45, and a few celebrities have already gotten their hands on a pair (see Mena Suvari wearing the exact pair here to a red carpet event).

Payless must have really been paying attention to the wild success of other retailers accessibly priced designer lines like Target's Go! International lines and H&M's designer lines. Payless is really gonna increase their style quotient with the addition of their own designer shoe lines. Nice.

It's Official: Heidi Klum Pregnant with Baby #4 [Pictures]

Heidi Klum's three kids will soon have a new sib: the supermodel and her husband Seal, 46, are expecting a baby in the fall, sources confirm to PEOPLE.

This latest addition to the Klum clan – Leni, 4 (whose dad is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore), Henry Günther, 3, and Johan Riley, 2 – shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. Klum, 35, herself has hinted that she might still want more kids. "So many people say, 'I am so done.' That hasn't come out of my mouth, and it hasn't come out of Seal's mouth either," she told Redbook magazine last July. "I feel like we still have one coming."

The supermodel, who was spotted shopping for toys at FAO Schwarz in New York City Wednesday, told the magazine her life was "kind of perfect" but insisted, "It's not like I'm this glamour diva who hands everything over and I just sit on my throne at home," she says.

"When we're home, we're cooking and doing things with the kids, driving them to school. We do the things that everyone has to do."

Fantasia Lands Her Own Reality Show...

First "Rudy Huxtable" gets her own show, now "Tasia Mae" is reportedly getting one too:

via People
Fantasia Barrino must have loved being on reality TV. The former American Idol star will be back in the game come early 2010 – starring in a new unscripted series on VH1.

"Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to American Idol,'" Jeff Olde, executive vp original programming at VH1, tells the Hollywood Reporter.

"Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world. So many people wanted to work with her on this, but Fantasia is now part of the VH1 family, and we're so happy to have her."

The nine-time Grammy nominee, who has also been on Broadway and played herself in the Lifetime movie version of her autobiography Life Is Not a Fairy Tale, will chronicle her life as a recording artist and young single mother on the series.

"Fantasia's life has been an open book, but at 24 years old, her story has just begun," executive producer Randy Barbato said, according to the Reporter. "We look forward to smashing expectations and revealing the fresh, funny and unexpected side of this one-of-a-kind country girl and superstar."

Keisha Knight Pulliam Getting a Reality Show?

Rudy from "The Cosby Show" has grown up, and she's about to show off her life on cable TV. Oxygen said Wednesday that it's developing a reality show about actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and her live-in boyfriend, Atlanta area entrepreneur Kaseem Penn. It will explore what it's like being young, rich, single and co-habitating. No air date is set for the show, titled "Keshia and Kaseem."

Iman Speaks On the Lack of Diversity in Modeling with Fellow Somali Model Ubah..

via The Cut
Veteran model Iman sat down with rising star and fellow Somalian Ubah Hassan, the spring face of Ralph Lauren, to discuss the struggles non-white models face in the fashion industry. "I talked to young models and I asked them, ‘What is the most upsetting thing that is happening to you guys now?'" Iman says. "And singularly they said they would go to go-sees — especially when there is the fashion shows coming up — and they would say to them, ‘We’re not using black models this season.' Like it’s a category — like we’re not doing denim this season. It’s very upsetting." Ubah thinks the problem may lie with the stylists and casting directors choosing models for the show. Watch the video for Iman's thoughts on the so-called Obama effect on castings, and to hear what Ubah's Ralph Lauren casting was like.

A new clothing line launched by Ethiopian model and philanthropist Liya Kebede (love her...) called LemLem which means "to bloom" or "to flourish" in Amharic. Kebede recognized that she could use her experiences and connections to empower Ethiopian workers to use their skills to create high end children's clothing to be sold in Western markets. Halle Berry Covers Harper's Bazaar May 2009 Issue...

On her new addiction of buying baby clothes:
Admitting her guiltiest pleasure to May's Harper's Bazaar, the Oscar winner, 42, says her current addiction is "very boring, but I buy baby clothes online. Nahla can't wear all the clothes I've bought, and we don't go anywhere because I can't deal with the paparazzi."

What Gabriel thinks about Halle's baby clothes addiction:
On the overstuffed closets for the baby, boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey is sympathetic – though only up to a point. "Gabriel's always like, 'She doesn't even leave the house! Halle, you've got to stop,' " says Berry.

On staying home more and getting in shape after baby:
"Having a baby takes so much from you. It's the most glorious thing you'll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious!" observes Berry. "So now I'm having to exercise, eat a little bit differently."
