Cute, Not Cute: Eyelash Wigs

Eyelash wigs. That's right. "Wigs" for your lashes. Although I don't think they've made it here yet (they're currently available at Shu Uemura Eyelash Bars in Tokyo, Japan..) but, wow. What's next? Lacefront eyebrows? I know that Japan is usually on the cutting edge of technology and fashion, but this right here is a little weird for me. What do ya'll think? Cute? Or not cute?

  1. Uh....NOT cute at all! Japan is on the cutting edge of nothing with this one. I'm already sick of overdone eyelash extensions and fake lashes that make you look like Snuffleluffagus(sp?). LOL
Dramatic lashes for special occasions or to show up on photos, I get. This mess, notsomuch.

  4. I agree anon-

They would be a nice novelty for couture shows, but for other everyday (or more specifically evening..) events? It's a little over the top.

  8. I hate to go against the popular opinion but I think they look fun. I would definitely sport those crazy lashes!! You know--just for fun--on a night out--not to the grocery store. Anyway, I think I just might have a thing for great, crazy, and innovative lashes. I'm actually planning on going and getting my lashes permed. What an easy way to always have fabulous looking eyes!

  11. Lol! I've been to the Shu Umera lash bar in San Francisco, and they do have others that are way less dramatic, but nice....they have a little feather in them (yes feathers) that make them stand out. Go to the lash bar in your city and check them out...
